Vitual Reality ride operators / sales staff required
Full time position during the summer season, with possibility of weekends beyond. Must be 18 or over and available for immediate start on Brighton Palace Pier. (ad. posted 22nd August 2021)
Studio Go Go has added a virtual reality experience to one of Brighton Palace Pier’s classic fairground rides – the Twister (see Ride with VR here). We are looking for two VR ride operators / sales staff to join Brighton Palace Pier’s ride Department, to run the experience. The pier offer a Living Wage as basic salary plus sales commission, with a realistic opportunity to double salary during peak hours of operation.
You need to be smartphone-savvy with a love for digital content. Customer service and sales experience, with a happy and bubbly character would be an advantage. Motivation and people skills are essential. If you fit the bill, and you enjoy working outside in the sun or the rain in a festival environment, then this could be the ideal next move for you.
No experience is needed as full training will be provided by Brighton Palace Pier, supported by Studio Go Go.

Salary: £9.50 per hour basic + commission
Commission: per-ride sales commission plus milestone bonuses, with realistic opportunity to double salary during peak hours of operation

Shifts: 8 to 12-hour shifts, Monday to Friday and weekends. Statutory holidays.
Location: Brighton BN2 1TW: reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work required.
Accessibility: Unimpaired cognitive ability and manual dexterity required. Work station at standing height. Ability to move frequently and swiftly between two close locations required. Tasks require moderate visual and auditory acuity.
